It seems like just last week that the recipients of the 2022 Kennedy Center Honors (George Clooney, Gladys Knight, U2, Tania León and Amy Grant) were in Washington, D.C., to be recognized for their achievements in the arts.

Now, we officially know who will be honored at this year's celebration in December.

The 2023 Kennedy Center honorees are:

  • Billy Crystal
  • Renée Fleming
  • Barry Gibb
  • Queen Latifah
  • Dionne Warwick

Gloria Estefan — a 2017 honoree — will host the event.

Music

Kesha and Dr. Luke have reached a settlement after nearly a decade of lawsuits. Kesha claimed that the producer raped her, while he came back with a defamation suit that claimed her allegations were false.

Both parties released a joint statement on Instagram.

Kesha:

"Only God knows what happened that night. As I have always said, I cannot recount everything that happened. I am looking forward to closing the door on this chapter of my life and beginning a new one. I wish nothing but peace to all parties involved."

Dr. Luke:

"While I appreciate Kesha again acknowledging that she cannot recount what happened that night in 2005, I am absolutely certain that nothing happened. I never drugged or assaulted her and would never do that to anyone. For the sake of my family, I have vigorously fought to clear my name for nearly 10 years. It is time for me to put this difficult matter behind me and move on with my life. I wish Kesha well."
Kesha is the cover star of this month's Self magazine. Her latest album, Gag Order, earned a 7.1 review from Pitchfork.

Each day that passes is another day that Beyoncé's "Renaissance" tour gets closer to its North American debut. (Toronto July 8-9, Philadelphia July 12.)

Besides being the most-Grammy-awarded performer of all time, she now has another trick ... helping with gender reveals.

Fans in Cologne, Germany, handed Beyoncé an envelope to find out the gender of their baby.

Fashion

Rihanna will step down as CEO of her lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty. Hillary Super, formerly the global CEO of Anthropologie Group, will take on the position beginning tomorrow.

Vogue Business reports that Rihanna will act as executive chair. Rihanna owns the company, alongside investors from LVMH and Marcy Venture Partners.

Around the time that news was breaking, Rihanna was in Paris for Pharrell's Louis Vuitton men's collection debut. She was far from the only recognizable face at the show.

They say the Met Gala is the Oscars of the East Coast. Well, this fashion show was the Oscars of France. (Sorry, Cannes, Pharrell wins this one.) Here's who was in Paris at the Pont Neuf to see the collection:

  • A$AP Rocky
  • Beyoncé
  • Jay-Z
  • Zendaya
  • Law Roach
  • Kelly Rowland
  • Naomi Campbell
  • Lenny Kravitz
  • Megan Thee Stallion
  • Kim Kardashian
  • Lebron James
  • Jared Leto
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Willow Smith
  • Jayden Smith
  • Tyler, The Creator

In other fashion news, Ralph Lauren dropped by the White House for a state dinner that the Bidens hosted for India's prime minister. Decked out in a black tuxedo and New Balance sneakers, the designer perhaps unknowingly paid homage to the capital's love of the sneaker brand.

First Lady Jill Biden, naturally, wore a Ralph Lauren dress to the event.

Film and Television

Jennifer Lawrence is on the press circuit for her new movie, No Hard Feelings. As such, she did what seems to be a rite of passage for celebrities these days: go on Hot Ones.

Comedy seems like a natural fit for Lawrence. Maybe her tripping at the Oscars was really a signal that she was ready to take on the genre ...

You'd be hard-pressed to find a silent theater for this movie. The laughter coming from the room is as good a mood lifter as the movie itself. See it if you can.

Plus, season two of The Bear is now streaming on Hulu — with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Nicole Kidman is also reprising her role of Masha in Nine Perfect Strangers. Deadline reports that a second season of the show is in the works. A new cast will support Kidman, and season two reportedly takes place in the Swiss Alps.

Based on the book of the same name, could Nine Perfect Strangers be taking up the freshness of Mike White's The White Lotus, with new characters and locations each season?

Something to look forward to: Sofia Coppola's Priscilla, which stars Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny. Here's the teaser trailer from A24:
